About Hull Design[]

Attack Module

Hull Designs come in three main forms:

Picking the right hull design can make or break a fleet. A good combination of all three hull designs can make for a great armada.

Frigates[]

Frigates are mobile, quick ships useful at taking out the expensive, heavy, and prized Battleships. They both deal extra damage to and recieve less damage from Battleships. They are also the only ship out of the three that begin with a default movement value of one, which means that they don't have to equip a Transmission module to move. While they excel at scouting, and have excellent shields, they have the lowest carrying volume for modules and once their shields are gone, their structure is also the weakest. As an added bonus, all Frigates carry a +1% Chance of a Critical Hit.

Frigate Ships have two different types of Armor : Nano Armor and Neutralizing Armor . Nano Armor minimizes the damage dealt by Heat and Explosive Weapons while Neutralizing Armor minimizes the damage dealt by Magnetic and Explosive Weapons. To see more information about Armor, see theArmor Types page.

Cruisers[]

Cruisers are your middle of the road kind of ship. They excel at destroying Frigates, by dealing more damage to them, and receiving less damage from them in return. Cruisers have a better carrying volume than Frigates, allowing them to equip more modules. However, they are slightly slower and have less shields. They are also more expensive to make, but they make up for this by being able to store more He3 for longer fights.

Cruiser Ships have two different types of Armor : Chrome Armor and Regen Armor . Chrome Armor minimizes the damage dealt by Heat and Kinetic Weapons while Regen Armor minimizes the damage dealt by Kinetic and Magnetic Weapons. To see more information about Armor, see the Armor Types page.

Battleships[]

Tiamat III

Tiamat-III

The king of all ships, these monstrous abominations tear cruisers apart. They have the most volume capacity, the most He3 storage, the highest structure, but the lowest shields. Many take advantage of the high volume capacity to add more shield modules into the Battleship, but keep in mind that with every extra module you add on, it raises the building cost of the ship. Painfully long and expensive to make.

Battleships have four different types of Armor : Chrome Armor , Regen Armor , Nano Armor , and Neutralizing Armor . Nano Armor minimizes the damage dealt by Heat and Explosive Weapons while Neutralizing Armor minimizes the damage dealt by Magnetic and Explosive Weapons. Chrome Armor minimizes the damage dealt by Heat and Kinetic Weapons while Regen Armor minimizes the damage dealt by Kinetic and Magnetic Weapons. To see more information about Armor, see the Armor Types page.

Frigates versus Battleships versus Cruisers[]

Frigates deal more damage to Battleships and take more damage from Cruisers. Cruisers deal more damage to Frigates and take more damage from Battleships. Battleships deal more damage to Cruisers and take more damage from Frigates. The following table shows the Attack percentage and Defense percentage of the three types of ships:

Ship Type Frigates Cruisers Battleship
Frigates -5% +5%
Cruisers +5% -5%
Battleships -5% +5%

Comparison Summary[]

The following table shows average trends among equal-level ships, but is not universally true.

Differences Frigates Cruisers Battleship
Effective Stack 1100 1000 900
Shields High Medium Low
Structure Low Medium High
Installation Slots Low Medium High
Fuel Storage Low Medium High
Agility High Medium Low
Defense Low Medium High

Special Hull[]

Special Hull ships are ships that have unique features to each ship. Special Hull ships can be either Frigates , Cruisers , Battleships or Flagships (which is a special Light Armor Ship). Most Special Hull Ships have great volume capacity, the most He3 storage and the best shields with the exception of Industrial ship, the only ship which basically has 0 shields. The lower classed special hull ships can be obtained from Blueprints, but most of the Special Hull Ships can only be obtained by using Badges. Badges are earned from Restricted Instances. Each Special Hull ship has its special bonuses for attack and defense.

Flagships[]

There are two forms of flagships available, the regular (old/classic) Flagships and newer Humaroid-Flagships
