The spacedock can only store 2 pages of ships. They are stored in the order they were designed in with older designs listed first. This is true even if the ship design was deleted. The result is, if more than 10 different types of ships are destroyed in a battle only the 10 oldest types will be recoverable in any manner. All new designs will suffer 100% losses.
The % that your space dock tells you that could be repaired is simply the chance of every individual ship being repaired.
Think of it as a dice with 100 sides on it, and there is a green mark on the amount of sides to = the amount of % that it tells you that could be repaired, then all of the other sides will have a red mark. The damaged ship will then roll that dice and if it can hit on a green mark then you can repair it, if a red mark then sadly it is lost.
As each ship is destroyed, the researched percentage applies to that single boat. Statistically, you could possibly end up with 0 boats returned, and it is possible that you could end up with quite a bit more than your researched percentage.
While ship in repairing process, you can speed-up repairs by using 10 SP to reduce the time by 10% scalling better the more hours in repairs. (More SP spent, more ships repaired per sec).
